5. Someone Like You by Adele (Live)
Always choose a live version of this song. The melody is different, which makes it sweeter and softer. When I first heard this, I listened to it 24 times in a row. I NEVER DO THAT, but this was something different. New. Delicious. It's hard to listen to now, and that's the only reason it's so far down.
4. An Awful Lot of Running
In 2011 I became obsessed with a fan of Doctor Who. Chameleon Circuit does songs exlusively about Doctor Who. A perfect fit, right? I had a hard time just choosing one, so I chose one that kind of sums up what goes on in the show. Geronimo!
3. Why Do You Let Me Stay Here? by She & Him
This video is better than the actual video. This was another song I found on accident and listened to often earlier in 2011. It's cute and flirty and another new sound to me.
2. Samson by Regina Spektor
I can't believe I forgot about Regina. She dropped into my life via Pandora and I haven't been the same since. This song in particular has a huge emotional attachment that is difficult to describe (so I probably won't tonight).
1. Feel the Tide by Mumford & Sons
You've already read my Mumford & Sons rant.
I rather enjoyed the video for #2.
ReplyDeleteYou have great taste in music! I feel bad for all of my friends on missions who completely missed Adele's 21. Also, have you ever heard of the Avett Brothers? A lot of Mumford fans also like them, but they have a different sound. I like a few of their tracks as well.
