I have a really hard time with this phrase and how people use it. It's a philosophy often used to talk people into doing things they wouldn't normally do (and probably shouldn't). The tactic is uncomfortable to me because the premise isn't even true! You're going to live forever! Your dumb choices can lead to sad consequences! If something is actually worth doing, there are better ways to talk yourself or your friend into doing it.

I think the same thing every time someone says YOLO - but people will always come up with excuses to do stupid things, no?
