I've been really quite busy lately. I don't have time for much of a real post about Rexburg, so you don't get one. Suffice it to say that it was a blast and I can't wait to go back to school. Also, I have no idea how to even try to tell you about my week without complaining, so I won't. So for now, have some pictures from my Idaho trip and some from since I've been home. I'm going to watch every episode of The Deep End and re-paint my nails.

I'm so ready to start classes again.
I don't know about you, but I had a pretty amazing weekend. It included Disneyland, work, midnight movies, game night, babysitting, and very little sleep. The recovery, though, was crazy difficult. And it didn't help either that yesterday morning I sat shotgun during a car accident. (Everyone's fine, both cars are fine, we're all just a little sore.)
So today while browsing twitter, I came across some photography "workouts" from Justin Hackworth, a real master. And I experimented some with Exercise 2: Take a picture of your bed. The wrinkles and folds of an unmade bed are a good way to learn to pay attention to natural light and how it falls.
And here's what I got. Normally I would have left these in color. I prefer color photography. But I was struck by a black and white mood today. I suppose that's all for now.

Holy Stolen Thunder, Batman!
So Gigi pretty much wrote the post I had wanted to today (suffice it to say that I also felt super productive today), so I'll let her have it, and I encourage you to just generally read her blog because she's awesome.
So what shall I write about today?
How about my new calling then? Yes, that will do. I'm the Primary pianist in my ward now. Primary is the Sunday School for kids 4-11, and they spend a certain amount of every Sunday with "singing time." The chorister used to be one of my Young Women leaders, so we already know how to work with each other.
But here's the thing. I took my last piano lesson at 15 and I can hardly accompany myself sometimes.
And my first day was Mother's Day, when the kids sang in sacrament meeting (read: I had to play in front of everyone). Luckily, I had time to put some work into it and the Lord qualifies those He calls. My playing wasn't a disaster. Not fabulous, but not a disaster either. Now I have motivation to achieve the goal I made at the beginning of the summer to get good at piano again. Funny how things work that way.
So what shall I write about today?
Noah's soccer game? No, I'll hack Mom's blog and put it there.
Our excursion to the Huntington? Fine, you get one picture. I'm not terribly happy with most of them.

There's Always Money In the Banana Stand.
What? You've never seen Arrested Development? Quick, go watch the first season on hulu. But if there's no time for that, the opening credits will sort of tell you what's going on. It's very funny.
But this is just the background for the real story, which could be more vaguely titled "What I Did This Weekend."
My friend Bryan had his birthday party this weekend, and it was Arrested Development-themed. A lot of people came dressed up, and it was a blast. I brought my camera and quickly became the Party Photographer.
Bianca as Lucille and Hannah as Kitty
Tiffany and Bryan as Lindsey and Tobias
Lauren as Rita

The cutoffs are a reference to the show, I promise.
Everybody.

Lessons We Learn from Disney Princesses
Lessons based on a conversation with Beth, Noelle, Laura, Summer, and Amanda. Pictures by Annie Leibovitz for Disney.
Pocahontas:
Listen to your grandma. The right path is not always the easy path. And stop being racist, doggone it!
Belle:
Beauty is on the inside. Read.
Ariel:
Learn from your mistakes.
Snow White:
Kindness is more important than beauty.
Aurora:
Prince Charming can be Prince Charming, no matter what his name. Also, don't be naive.
Jasmine:
Just be yourself. Women are not objects to be won.
Cinderella:
Hard work and kindness will always pay off.

I Love Thursdays.
Thursday is when I usually put my life back together. After a crazy week, I finally have a little time to clean and organize and breathe. It was especially so today because I've been sick and needed to catch up on homework and wash my hair for the first time in a few days.
The moon was full and gorgeous tonight. Noelle dubbed it a love-moon because it's not harvest time and it's my celebrity boyfriend's birthday.
I'm still not feeling great, but it's been a great day.
Crap. I still have school tomorrow. Arrrgh.

"Where did our hair go?" "NARNIA."
My roommates and I got haircuts over the weekend. We all look super cute, so on Sunday afternoon, we took to downtown Rexburg and took some pictures. I like shooting in the morning or on Sundays when I'm downtown, because I'm in love with the door to Sammy's and it's closed then.

I'm Pretty Sure This is What I Did Today.
2008-The only time I intentionally slept on the floor.
I got up early this morning to do homework before class. I do better work first thing in the morning. Then I managed to stay awake through all my classes. I got a few things taken care of in the afternoon before I woke up on the floor. I don't know how long I was out or even what happened, but I'm feeling okay now. It's just frustrating that I don't remember a lot of my afternoon. I hope this doesn't happen again, but I'm going to try not to be home alone for the next little bit.
In other news, I submitted this picture to Jones Soda today. I don't remember actually doing it, but I got an e-mail back from them saying it was a "staff pick" and that they'll send it to the judges. If the judges like it, they'll put it on a real live Jones Soda bottle. That would make me...very happy. Go here to vote on it, if you please!

Long Live the "Vote for Change" shirt worn ironically.
Because of the awful weather, I didn't drive back to Rexburg. I flew! The flight was fine, but the shuttle from SLC broke down. It was awful. I pulled out the only time-passer in my bag whose batteries wouldn't die--my scriptures. I laughed when I got to D&C 121:10-- "Thou art not yet as Job." I felt better then. I did skip my morning class, though.
My tripod and camera remote are here! So despite how I looked today, I HAD to test it out. Chelsea's in this picture giving me a weird look, but I cropped her out on her request.

Saturday is a Special Day!
It's the day Lyndsey and I had a photoshoot in downtown Rexburg! Here are my favorites out of the pictures we took of each other.
Saturday was also special because we celebrated Halloween! I was Lady Gaga, and Beth and Chelsea were my backup dancers. Beth made our amazing costumes.
(Chelsea does not like having her picture taken.)
