Thank Goodness for the First Amendment.

Hey there, Federal Government.

Do you have a problem with my being born?

I think you do. I've had the same birthday for the past 18.5 years. It says so on my passport. It says so on the birth certificate that you never sent back to me when I got my passport.

What the heck kind of birthday do you think I have if I can't file my taxes with it?

You're lucky my political ambitions pretty much end in Sacramento.

Annoying!

I feel sorry for anyone who works at THIS place.

I Have Acheived Majority.

No, I'm not a white male who voted for Barack Obama.
Yesterday was my eighteenth birthday and I am no longer a minor.

I had my party at my grandparents' house.

My aunt Carin made the lovely cake.

Out of the 12 people who originally said they would come, only Chris, Kasey, Andy, Audra, and Andrea were able to actually make it when it came down to it. We still had a good time.
(Stalker status photo courtesy of my mother.)

Ball!

I was actually really excited for this. I won't be able to take my whiteboard with me and I was going to really miss it. But now I won't have to!

Kasey made me a whole SCRAPBOOK.

see?

From Andy

Then we all went over to Huntington State Beach for the evening.

This picture is so funny on so many levels, from Jared's face to Andy and Kasey's game.

Chris is a vegetarian. So when we all had hot dogs, he tried to cook himself a Boca burger.

Audra and I have matching sunglasses.

Boys at beach. Beach...boys?

Playing in the water.

Boys vs. Girls Koob game

Ten fingers.
After the beach, my dad drove the van full of my aforementioned guests, Dallin, and me home We stopped on 7-eleven on Beach Blvd on the way for Slurpees!

My boss surprised me with a cake, too. But it's a secret. shh! My coworkers aren't supposed to know! I got it because I'm leaving soon and I got her daughter (who's just ten days older than me) something for her birthday. We ate it tonight with the Birds and it was delicious. (Vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake!)

Why I Love My Job

Working with my second cousin Audra is the funnest thing in the world! When it's cold (I mean, slow) we can find ways to mess around...like making unicorn horns from stalactites out of our big freezer...

and being able to not flip out when disaster (i.e., spilled m&ms) strikes...

and singing and dancing like whales! (Thankfully, we have no documentation of this.)

So if you're ever at Baskin-Robbins in Upland, stop by and visit us!

The Rest of the Week.

THURSDAY: Was told to get my acrylic nails off. (Still haven't done it, but hey, I'll get around to it.)

FRIDAY: Worked, then went to Jared's Cub Scout thing. Marleen left for San Francisco. (She'll be back tongiht).

SATURDAY: Regional Dance Practice. Upland met up with the groups from Yucaipa, Chino, Corona, Jurupa, and Fontana to get ready for the show next week. The Priests and Laurels from Upland pretty much owned everyone else. We were asked to do a "demo" for everyone else to show 'em how it's done. We all got ridiculously cocky, but we kinda deserved it.

The Week Thus Far

SUNDAY: Had to go to the other ward in order to be at work at 1:00 pm. =[

MONDAY: Six Flags Magic Mountain with Marleen and her class. It was a very long, fun day. Except for when everything in my bag got soaked through, including my mother's camera (which is in critical condition.)

TUESDAY:Worked.

WEDNESDAY:Went shopping with Mom and Marleen. Then went to the salon by Baskin-Robbins with Marleen and got my first-ever set of acrylics. And a pedicure. Then dance practice. We finally finished the dance! Seven and a half minutes of Disney-ridden ballroom learned! Wooo! Except now I have to teach a large portion of it to my dance partner, who's been in Cape Cod the past few weeks.

THURSDAY:I have work in a few hours. Marleen isn't feeling well. =[
